Sage credit control: how to automate invoice chasing

Sage keeps an immaculate record of who owes you what — but it won't pick up the phone or write the chasing email. For most finance teams that means exporting the aged-debtor report and working down it by hand, which is exactly the job that slips when everyone is busy.

It usually goes like this. Someone runs the aged-debtor report in Sage, pastes it into a spreadsheet, and starts at the top: copy the customer, look up the contact, write a polite-but-firm email, attach a copy of the invoice, log what they said, and set a reminder to follow up.
